Changes in 2011-2012 High School Registration Process
The registration process will be slightly different at Grant Community High School District 124 for the 2011 - 2012 school year. This change involves a switch from the school's current mail-in registration process to a combination of mail-in and student on-site registration.
Parents will receive (or have received) a registration packet in the mail that contains all of the important materials necessary to enroll their children. Those forms must be returned to the school by mailing them in the envelop provided in the registration packet, or in person to the main office.
New this year is the requirement for students to attend an on-site registration, on designated dates, in order to pick up their student ID, class schedule, bus schedule, student handbook, physical education uniform, physical education lock, and textbooks. Parents are NOT required to attend with their student(s).
Grant Community High School District 124 would appreciate parents' cooperation with ensuring their student attends the on-site registration process on their assigned day. Instructional time is very important and this change is being implemented in an effort to reduce the disruptions that occur on the first few days of school so that teachers and students may get right down to the business of teaching and learning.
