Fox Lake Grade School District 114 reminds of changes to registration procedures
As a reminder, Fox Lake Grade School District 114 has made some changes to the registration procedures for the 2011-2012 school year.
Over the last several years, Fox Lake Grade School District 114 has encountered dozens of parents and guardians who have illegally registered (or attempted to register) children at Stanton and Lotus schools who did not reside in District 114. Therefore, in order to ensure that their valuable classroom space is reserved for children whose parents reside locally, it is necessary for everyone to provide accurate residency information at the time of registration.
So this year, students must be registered by the parents in person at one of the 3 walk-in registration sessions listed below. Please choose the session that's most convenient for you to attend:
- Tuesday, August 2, at the Lotus School Gymnasium from 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Wednesday, August 3 at the Lotus School Gymnasium from 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Tuesday, August 9 at the Stanton School Cafeteria from 2:00pm - 8:00pm
At the time of registration, all parents/guardians must show a valid picture ID with a current District 114 address on it. Three additional documents, all with the same District 114 address matching the one on the picture ID, must also be submitted at the time of registration. A list of the approved documents can be found on the back of the letter, which was previously mailed out to parents. Please note that if you are required to submit Residency Form B, it must be notarized. If you need to submit Residency Form C, the accompanying letter from the legal parent/guardian must also be notarized.
Walk-in registration will not be allowed during the first week of school. If you are unable to attend on one of the dates listed, you will need to contact Debi Caraher, of Stanton school, at (847) 973-4204, or Sue Pinkawa of Lotus School at (847) 973-4000 to schedule an appointment to register.
