Evangelical Lutheran Church of All Saints Celebrated 50th Anniversary!
On April 23, 1961, a charter was signed by 80 persons, and the first service of All Saints was held at Fox Lake American Legion Hall. 41 more signed the charter at a later date. In November 1961, All Saints moved their services to a storefront on West Grand Avenue. On December 9, 1962, with 60 persons inside, a gas leak caused an explostion and a fire. 5 people needed hospital treatment. In 1963, land was purchased on State Park Road and ground breaking for the present church was on June 28, 1964. Since then, a new, larger church has been added, along with another entryway. April 30, 2011, All Saints celebrated their 50th anniversary at Maravela's Restaurant in Fox Lake. All were invited, and many came to join in this celebration.
