2011 St. Bede Annual Christmas Giving Tree
The St. Bede Annual Christmas Giving Tree began November 27th and will end December 11th. This annual event offers the families of St. Bede Parish opportunities to provide much-needed basic items to four organizations serving needy individuals and families throughout Lake County. It's a wonderful occasion to remember that Christmas is a time of giving, as well as receiving.
This year again, St. Bede will be collecting and donating items for the following organizations:
- Aid for Women of Northern Lake County, which serves women in need who are facing unexpected pregnancy and their children under the age of two years.
- Home of the Sparrow, which provides transitional shelter for homeless women and their children.
- Kiley Developmental Center, which is a residential facility that serves adults who are developmentally disabled.
- PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter), which is a seasonal emergency service providing food, shelter, and advocacy for homeless men, women, and children throughout Lake County.
Please drop off all items (unwrapped and with ornament tag attached, please) at St. Bede School by Friday, December 9th, or at St. Bede Church in Coleman Hall (downstairs) by Sunday, December 11th. "Thank you, in advance, for helping make this program a success again this year!"

Exfoliating at home can be done quite inexpensively, as facial scrubs start in the range of five to ten dollars.
By contrast, a single session of microdermabrasion can cost well over a hundred and fifty dollars.
