"Goal Setting"
When you set a goal, it needs to be "how much & by when." Lots of people say they would like to lose weight for a New Years Resolution, most people never accomplish this goal. There are a number of reasons why. One of the main reasons is, it is an unclear and vague goal. If we apply the how much by when lesson, then the goal becomes easier to define. It also gives us a way to measure progress. So, if I say I want to weigh 175 by June 1, 2011, this becomes a very clear goal. It includes how much, a weight of 175 and by when, June 1, 2011. This is a very powerful tool in helping you accomplish your goals. If I only made it down to 180 and was still 5 lbs away, I could always move my date out to continue to achieve my goal. I could also celebrate the victory of the weight I lost getting down to 180.
